Blending
Sounds join up into short words like sat, pin and tap, so reading starts early.
Words and sentences
New sounds arrive one at a time. Words grow into phrases, then full sentences.
Their own stories
Your child picks the characters and the topic, then reads a story made just for them.
Mastery before moving on.
